Kelli was introduced to yoga during college and began an in-home practice to support her interest and involvement in various forms of athletics and exercise. It wasn’t long until yoga became her primary physical practice. She has maintained a regular daily practice for 17 years both in her home and in yoga studios both locally and through travels. After returning home to the mountains of eastern Kentucky, Kelli completed her prenatal/postnatal yoga certification in 2010 through the Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina. She dedicated time to practicing in her community and supported the efforts of friends who began one of the first yoga studios in southeastern Kentucky, North Fork Yoga, substitute teaching there on occasion. In 2015, Kelli completed her second certification, a dual certificate in Kundalini and Hatha yoga styles through the online Yoga Teacher Training Program by Anmol Mehta. From that time, Kelli began sharing yoga in various locations across the region. As her interest in sharing yoga with others grew, she certified in Buti Yoga in 2017 with Master Trainer Talen Lane in Nashville, TN and she audited the program again in 2018 because it is pure magic. She then went on to graduate as a 200 hour registered yoga teacher (200RYT) with Yoga Alliance in 2018 through the Downtown Yoga Center in Johnson City, TN led by Kim Blaine. Kelli has gone on to receive specialty training in various yoga forms and practices such as Yin, yoga for strength building, fascia release, and chakra balancing/activation. Forever a student, she continues to follow the yogic path studying deeply as many of the styles and philosophies of practice that draw her in. As she learns more to support her own practice, she enjoys sharing it with others. Kelli is also a Level 1 Reiki practitioner and chakra reader.
